Kate1 Welcome to Rosamond School and thank you for the interest you have shown in learning a little more about us.

Rosamond is a Government school located in Maidstone.  Our core function is the provision of individual education programs for our students – young people aged between 5 and 18 years of age who live in  the surrounding areas and have a clinically diagnosed mild intellectual disability.

In many ways we are just like any other school.  Our students are just regular kids – the only difference is that they require additional support to ensure they reach their potential.

Our programs look a lot like the programs you’ll find in any Victorian Primary or Secondary school.   The content is the same – it’s how we teach it that’s different!

We’re very, very proud of our school – although small, we are energetic, vibrant, enthusiastic and passionate about what we do.

That Rosamond is a happy school is no accident.  We believe strongly that school should be fun for everyone – and strive hard to ensure that it is.

We welcome visitors to our school, whether they be parents of prospective students, teachers and support staff from mainstream schools, students on placement from tertiary institutions or simply people interested in finding a little more about us and what we do.  Give us a ring!

 Kate Christensen.
